National Defence - DDWB - Ottawa, Ont
Course Outline - Overview
This Project Management Professional (PMP®) qualified instructor-led, three-day Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification course is designed to augment the participants' self-study programs to successfully pass the PMP® Certification exam. Based on the
PMBOK® Guide and the recommended reading list for the certification program, this course addresses all of the examination themes.
Our Value Added
Unlike most other certification courses, this course draws on the nine knowledge areas in the
PMBOK® Guide but presents the material as laid out on the exam that is through the project process groups of initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout of a project. The five process groups are described in detail and the theory is reinforced through a case study to enhance the participants' ability to successfully answer the scenario-based questions in the exam. The professional responsibility subject matter is addressed specifically.
The participant's manual including additional readings, sample questions, review booklets, and two 200 question trial exams offer an outstanding value in the individual's preparation.
Learning Objectives
The specific learning objective is to contribute to each participant's self-study program to ensure successful completion of the PMP® Certification exam.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for experienced project managers who intend to write the PMP® Certification exam within a matter of months; it is not recommended as a general project management course.
