Established in 2000 and led by Gregory Hug, PMP, MAGI Consulting is the professional Project Management source for the delivery of practical training solutions to enhance the success of your projects.
Our team of six experienced, high caliber, project management instructors, are practicing project managers as well as Project Management Professionals (PMP®). Our instructors have diverse backgrounds in government, Not-For Profit and the private sector with project expertise across a wide spectrum from high tech to non-traditional projects - they bring current, real experience to the classroom setting.
Mr. Gregory Hug, BEng, PMP, CMII is a Senior Project Manager with 22 years of project and program management experience. As the training leader for MAGI Consulting, he is responsible for the concept, development, delivery and validation of the suite of Project Management courses for both public and private sector clients. As a volunteer Director of Professional Development for the Ottawa Valley – Outaouais Chapter of the Project Management Institute, he oversaw all aspects of training and professional development for the 1,400 PMI members in the National Capital Region, including all training conducted in preparation for the PMP® certification examination.
Mr. Thomas Burnie, BA, MCGI, CHRP, PMP, has been involved directly with Program and Project Management for 20 plus years in training development, capital equipment, Research and Development (R&D), business process re-engineering and human resources disciplines. Mr. Burnie is a primary trainer in Project Management for both the public and private sector clients. Of note, Mr. Burnie is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) with specific disciplines in training & management development, organizational development, and human resources management practices. For two years, Mr. Burnie was a member of the PMI Ottawa Valley Outaouais Chapter teaching team that prepared candidates for the PMP® certification examination.
Mr. Gardy Joseph, P. Eng, PMP, is a bilingual instructor and our lead on delivery of courses in French. As a senior Project Management Consultant, he has extensive experience managing the delivery of IT projects and directing the development and implementation of project management plans, risk management plans, systems, processes and procedures on small, medium and large-scale Information Management /Information Technology (IM/IT) Projects. Notably, he has 20 years of experience in providing project management training and facilitation workshops including professional services on Project Delivery and Management, IM/IT Application Development and Infrastructure related projects in the public and private sectors.
Mr. Louis Brosseau, B. Eng, M.A.Sc., eng, PMP, is also a bilingual instructor. He has been directly involved in portfolio, program and project management for 26 years in the areas of Information Communications Technology, business transformation, eductaion, equipment and service procurement, and construction projects. He has managed projects in the federal government, provincial and state governments, and in the private sector. He has taught extensively at university and college level as well as through MAGI Consulting.
Mr. Lloyd Bartlett, P. Eng, MBA, PMP has 30 years experience in managing projects on a national and international scale. He has developed, adapted and applied project management techniques within a wide variety of industries including engineering, IT, transportation, and construction. As a trainer, Mr. Bartlett developed the "Comprehensive Project Management" course at McGill University's Centre for Continuing Education and subsequently developed McGill's innovative "Advanced Project Management" program. He teaches regularly in Engish and French.
Mr. Abdallah Abi-Aad, MEng, PMP, CISM, ITIL is a tri-lingual, senior project management expert with over 30 years experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications. He has an extensive background in managing projects in software development, system implementation and operation, as well as telecommunications and network technologies. He has developed and delivered several project management courses both locally and internationally. He has particular expertise in the preparation and delivery of PMP® Certification seminars.
